UnFox is completely free for all extraction features. There are no ads, no paywalls, no feature gates, and no in app purchases required to extract any of the 37 supported formats.

UnFox extracts 37 formats including ZIP, RAR, 7Z, TAR.GZ, TAR.BZ2, TAR.XZ, ISO, DMG, CAB, EPUB, APK, IPA, JAR, WAR, CPIO, XAR, LZH, WIM, and more. Single file compression formats like GZ, BZ2, XZ, LZMA, LZ4, and ZSTD are also supported.

UnFox contains no analytics SDK, no crash reporter, no telemetry, and no advertising framework. The app makes zero network calls. Every file operation runs locally on your device. No file names, metadata, or usage patterns leave your device.

UnFox is a universal app that runs natively on Mac (macOS 14+), iPhone (iOS 17+), and iPad (iPadOS 17+). A single download from the App Store gives you access on all your Apple devices.

UnFox runs on Mac, iPhone, and iPad as a single universal app. The app provides real time extraction progress, disk space validation, extraction history, and a Finder context menu. UnFox is built on libarchive with zero network calls and zero data collection.

First, make sure the archive file is not corrupted or incomplete. Try downloading it again if possible. If the file is password protected, verify you are entering the correct password. If the issue persists, send the file (or a sample) to support@unfox.dev and we will investigate.

UnFox is free, so there is nothing to refund. If you purchased a tip or optional upgrade through the App Store, you can request a refund directly from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

UnFox updates through the App Store. Open the App Store, go to the Updates tab, and install any available update. You can also enable automatic updates in your App Store settings.
