Agreement to Terms
By downloading, installing, or using UnFox Unarchiver ("UnFox," "the app"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the app. UnFox is developed by Marcel Iseli, based in Biel, Switzerland.
License Grant
UnFox is provided as a free application. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on any compatible Apple device you own or control, subject to these terms and the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
Permitted Use
You may use UnFox for personal and commercial purposes to extract archive files on macOS, iOS, and iPadOS devices. The app is intended for lawful file extraction only.
Restrictions
You agree not to:
- Copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the app or its source code.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app, except where applicable law expressly permits it.
- Use the app to extract files that you do not have the legal right to access.
- Remove, alter, or obscure any proprietary notices, labels, or marks on the app.
- Use the app in any way that violates applicable local, national, or international law.
Intellectual Property
The app, including its design, code, graphics, and all related intellectual property, is owned by Marcel Iseli. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks, branding, or logos. All rights not expressly granted in these Terms are reserved.
Your Content
UnFox processes files that you select for extraction. The app does not access, read, copy, or transmit the contents of your files beyond what is necessary to perform the extraction you requested. All processing occurs locally on your device.
Disclaimer of Warranties
UnFox is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error free, or free of harmful components. We disclaim all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Your use of the app is at your sole risk.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Marcel Iseli shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption, arising out of or related to your use of UnFox. In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you paid for the app, which is zero.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Marcel Iseli from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of or in any way connected with your use of the app or your violation of these Terms.
Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to UnFox at any time, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your license to use the app ceases immediately. You may stop using the app at any time by deleting it from your devices.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Switzerland, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in the Canton of Bern, Switzerland.
Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
